Director of Bike Fit & Performance – Shaunna Chagnon

Shaunna started her athletic life as a young girl in the pool. She spent years training, practicing, and refining her skills until she climbed her way to 10th in Canada as a high diver at just 14 years old. But diving wasn’t enough—she also fell in love with water polo and trained with the Canadian National Team.

After stepping away from elite-level swimming, she discovered a new thrill in the Rocky Mountains as a downhill mountain biker. Her passion for sport and human performance continued to shape her life, even as she took time to raise her family.

Shaunna eventually found a natural transition into the health and wellness field, becoming a kinesitherapist, Sports Massage Therapist, and Lymphedema Therapist. With over 25 years of hands-on clinical experience, she developed a deep understanding of the human body—how it moves, how it compensates, and how it hurts. From daily-life aches to complex sports-related injuries, she has helped hundreds of people not only return to normal but exceed their normal.

In 2014, after giving birth to her third child, Shaunna returned to cycling. One year later, she entered her first triathlon—and excelled in her age group. From that point forward, the passion exploded. She has since pushed the pedals harder than ever across road cycling, triathlon, MTB, gravel, and fat biking.

When COVID hit, Shaunna—like many—shifted her path. Fascinated by the science of positioning and how it could help riders perform better and avoid injury, she dove into the world of bike fitting. In 2021, she returned to school and became a Level 1 Bike Fitter, followed shortly after by her Level 2 certification.

Today, Shaunna continues to elevate her expertise with advanced industry credentials, including her Slowtwitch Fit Academy Certification (F.I.S.T.)—one of the most respected bike-fit methodologies in the cycling and triathlon world.

Shaunna’s vast and cumulative first-hand knowledge—spanning elite sport, clinical therapy, biomechanics, and real-world cycling—gives her unique insight into the many factors athletes must consider to maximize their comfort, efficiency, and performance.
